Impact of COVID-19 Response on the Heavy Diesel Commercial Motor Vehicle Emissions Testing ProgramAs the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve locally and globally, Ontario continues to take decisive action to protect the health and safety of all individuals and families. To help promote social distancing and contain the spread of the virus, the Ministry of  Transportation announced it is extending the validity period of driving permits and other vehicle and carrier products to reduce the need for in-person visits to ServiceOntario locations. To further support this announcement, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks will suspend the Emissions Testing Program effective immediately, to further lessen the impact of the COVID-19 virus on emissions testing facilities, Ontario drivers and vehicle owners, and ServiceOntario locations. These changes will be in place until, based on the advice of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and public health officials, the current situation improves. Once the extension of validation stickers is removed by the Ministry of Transportation an emissions inspection report will again be required, and the program will continue.   The ministry recognizes that these changes will impact your business and during this time period your monthly maintenance fee to Parsons Inc. will be waived. The health and wellbeing of Ontarians must be our number one priority.Visit to learn more about how the province continues to protect Ontarians from COVID-19.  Additional provincial and federal resources are provided below.1. Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan: Support for Canadians and businesses
